I located these sites from Google scholar so I believe they are better results then ones I would find if I just searched under Google.

Outline
Using a NANNY vs. DAYCARE Outline
INTRO
Illness
nanny
· Less of a chance for a child to get sick if the child is mostly with the nanny.
· If the child is sick the nanny can still come over and take care and help to make them better.
daycare
· There are safety and sanitary regulations
· Illness risk is great because of the high number of kids.
· If the child is sick then most daycares don’t allow the child to come until it’s been 24 hours till the fever is gone. Good for other kids not for parents
Socialization and attention
Nanny
· Having a nanny might means children are with one person a good amount of the time
· Children can have play dates with school/neighbor friends
· Nannies have luxury of be able to take children many places, where there are chances to play and interact with other kids.
· One on one time means that the child isn’t left out
Daycare
· Their able to meet and make friends with kids their age and it helps them be open to new people
· Can take kids some places but not often. (Depends on daycare)Usually the daycare is where they spend their time
· There are many children, you can’t ensure everyone will get along but most find one friend
What a child learns.
Nanny
· Parents can communicate to Nanny the way things are done and ask that Nanny follow family rules, teach family values, etc.
· Nanny can monitor play groups to see what behaviors the child is picking up on.
· If Good/bad they can decide with parents if it’s a good idea for the children to play with the friends again.
· Nannies can teach kids if that is how the parent structures their time.
Daycare
· Has pre-constructed lessons so they get a start on basic education
· Teaches rules and discipline
· Can’t control every behavior learned by other kids or sometimes adults. Perhaps closer monitoring needed
List of reasons and conclude
identifying and inquiring the points of contention
My Position
· One-on-one care for your child. This is especially desirable in the infant years. Babies are held more often, comforted when crying.
· Your child is cared for in a familiar and comfortable environment, your home.
· More convenient for parents. Parents do not have to dress and pack up kids to transport them to outside care.
· Less illness. Children do not catch every illness that is going around. Parents are not required to find sick care for their child or to take as much time off to care for a sick child.
· Parents need a more flexible schedule. If parents need to leave early in the morning and can’t return by the standard closing time of a daycare center, nanny care is sometimes a much better alternative.
· More control over values, rules your child is exposed to. Parents can communicate to Nanny the way things are done and ask that Nanny follow family rules, teach family values, etc.
· Can arrange play groups so to in a way control what behavior your child learns
Opposition
· Your child's care provider is in a supervised environment with many adults present.
· Child learns to adapt to new people and environments
Independence is learned
· Your child will have more opportunity to socialize with other children
· Structured environment helps you and child know when parent is to drop off and pick up
· Cost: It is one of the most affordable options for childcare.
· Daycare centers must meet minimum state safety and sanitary regulations.
· You maintain your privacy. You do not have to open up your home to anyone.
